from chelant, polymer and revolutionary new suquestrant technology.
Artesian products and expertise are providing excellent results
in many industries including chemical, steel refineries, and
utilities. Employing state of the art technology, Artesian
provides boiler treatment programs designed to give maximum
efficiency throughout the entire boiler system.
An Artesian fuel treatment program utilizing chemical additives
can improve fuel handling and combustion efficiency while
offering protection to the equipment involved. Specialty tank
and equipment cleaning formulations are also included in Artesian's
fuel treatment product line.

Source Water Analysis: |

By sampling incoming water, Artesian determines
its chemistry and content. Seasonal and other influent
variables are also noted. |

Pre-Treatment Equipment
Engineering: |

Artesian determines needs for precipitating, clarifying,
filtering, softening, ion exchange, reverse osmosis,
deaeration and monitoring equipment to treat source
water, dissolved minerals and gases. |

Chemical Control: |
| |
Boiler water balance is controlled by a coordinated
chemical program that prevents scale, inhibits corrosion
and solubilizes or conditions sludge to facilitate
its removal through blowdown. |

Preventing Steam
Contaminants: |

Boiler water carry-over into steam lines through
foaming (oil. Detergents, etc.) or priming (sudden
steam demand) creates heat loss and equipment damage.
Artesian anti-foams facilitate clean, dry systems.

Condensate Treatment: |
| |
Condensed steam is highly corrosive. Dissolved
oxygen and carbon dioxide attack iron and copper,
creating impurities which insulate boiler services,
cause overheating and tube failure, and interfere
with the proper water conditioning process in the
boiler. Artesian neutralizing treatments prevent
condensate corrosion. |

Evaluating Effluent
Sources for Make-Up Water: |

Discharges, including blowdowns and process water,
can be analyzed to determine treatment cost in preparing
the water for reuse. Waste-water treatment reduces
ultimate disposal cost.
